Love | Ahavah אהבה

The Hebrew word for “love" and its Pictographic meaning. 

The Hebrew word for love is amazing especially when you realise how its connected to the Son, the Father  and His Old Testament Name YHVH (Jehovah).

Reading from right to left: Alef, Hey, Bet, Hey. The pictograph Alef represents strong ox and first. For love puts the other person first. The letter hey surrounds the house of love (Bet) with hands raised as when saying behold to reveal and manifest the Fathers love (Alef Bet) upon the house to "provide for the family". For one can not love an not give. For God so loved the world that He gave and love always gives and thinks of others greater than themselves.

If you removed the two letter Hey (the second and fourth letter) from the word love are left with Alef Bet which means Father. Hey can represent the Holy Spirit and two hays can represent the Son and the Holy Spirit who reveal the Father and make Him known.

If you look closely you can see in the word Yahvah "Behold the Father” ALef Bet and "behold the Son” the leader of the God’s house.

What is interesting is how the Hebrew word for love is connected with theHebrw word YHVH (Jahavah). The Hebrew word for love is spelled differently to YHVH however YHVH has the sound of love in the name and therfore it preserved the prenouciation of YHVH. The Bible tells us the God is love and thereby preserving a great secret and that is how to prenounce His Name. God’s Name should be pronounced Jahavah for God is love and His name while is not love in letter but love in action and gives off a sound of love despite being spelled differently through the Hebrew vowl system.
